SANZA Teaching Agency is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded independent primary school in the London Borough of Islington, who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team for a full academic year maternity cover from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a motivated and well-supported Year 6 class within a school that values inclusion, creativity, and high-quality teaching and learning. The school has a strong community feel, supportive leadership, and a collaborative staff culture.
The Role
The successful candidate will take full class teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons while supporting pupils throughout their final year of primary education and preparing them confidently for transition into secondary school.
The school is looking for a teacher who can create a positive and stimulating learning environment, maintain high expectations, and support both academic progress and pupil wellbeing.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold UK QTS
Have experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2
Be confident delivering the Year 6 curriculum and preparing pupils for SATs
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach to teaching
Be committed to helping all pupils achieve their full potential
Work effectively as part of a supportive team
