How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The Role and Candidate

We are seeking a Merchandising Supervisor (CEST) to play a pivotal role in representing country-level product and assortment requirements across Central Europe.

Reporting to the Head of Country Cluster Merchandising, this role combines hands-on merchandise planning with regional coordination responsibilities and is ideally suited to an experienced merchandise planner looking to take the next step into a leadership position.

You will be responsible for planning and forecasting activities for the Netherlands market while supporting merchandising operations across the wider Central European region. This includes managing inventory, replenishment, product ranging, stock allocation, and last-mile delivery performance to ensure stores are stocked effectively and operational targets are achieved.

The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoy working with data, and have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with retail, logistics, visual merchandising, and regional stakeholders. You will also lead and support a small merchandising team, helping to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the region.

Initially, the role will focus on the Germany and Netherlands markets, with responsibilities expanding into additional Central European countries as POP MART continues its growth across Europe.

Responsibilities

Merchandise Planning & Inventory Management

• Develop and maintain SKU-level rolling demand forecasts to support replenishment planning and maximise sales opportunities

• Define and allocate product assortments from regional and local distribution centres to stores based on sales performance and business requirements

• Monitor stock levels, sell-through rates, and inventory health to optimise product availability and minimise stock risks

• Manage replenishment planning to ensure stores maintain appropriate stock coverage

Retail Operations & Distribution

• Oversee merchandise transfers and daily stock movements between warehouses and retail locations

• Coordinate last-mile delivery activities to ensure timely product availability in stores

• Support local product launches and ensure inventory readiness in line with launch plans

• Participate in quarterly and annual stock counts, supporting effective inventory control processes

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain accurate inventory, ordering, and planning data within internal systems

• Manage merchandise orders and stock transfers through internal inventory management platforms

• Produce regular reports, analysis, and performance summaries to support commercial decision-making

• Analyse sales, stock, and operational data to identify opportunities for optimisation and process improvement

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with retail operations, logistics, visual merchandising, finance, and regional head office teams to ensure alignment and stock accuracy

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support product launches, promotions, and business initiatives

• Resolve operational issues and stock-related challenges efficiently, particularly those impacting store performance and customer experience

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across merchandising, supply chain, and retail operations

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Retail Management, Merchandising, or a related discipline

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in merchandising, inventory planning, demand planning, retail operations, or a related field

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance sales opportunities, stock availability, and operational requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills

• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Desirable but Not Essential

• Experience within the toy, collectibles, lifestyle, or wider retail sector

• Familiarity with Central European retail operations and logistics networks

• Experience using ERP, inventory management, or order management systems such as NetSuite
