Temporary Trust Fundraiser (3-Month Contract)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum (pro rata).
Contract: 3-month temporary contract (with potential to extend).
Location: Hybrid working, Central London
Merrifield Consultants is pleased to be partnering with a well-established national social justice and family welfare charity. Based central London, this impactful organisation is seeking an experienced Trust Fundraiser to join them on a temporary basis to manage a busy period of grant activity.
The Role
This is a focused, 3-month contract designed for a fundraiser who can "hit the ground running." You will take ownership of an existing pipeline, finalising high-quality applications and ensuring all reporting requirements are met on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Writing: Develop and submit compelling funding proposals to trusts and foundations, picking up applications already in progress.
- Reporting: Complete high-quality funder reports, ensuring all deadlines are met and impact is clearly communicated.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and update the fundraising pipeline within the CRM, providing clear oversight of upcoming deadlines and income.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Senior Management Team to gather the necessary data and stories to shape persuasive bids.
- Compliance: Ensure all fundraising activity adheres to relevant regulations and internal data protection policies.
What You Need
- Proven Track Record: Solid experience in trust and foundation fundraising within the charity sector (Essential).
- Exceptional Writing Skills: The ability to draft clear, persuasive applications and technical funder reports at pace (Essential).
- Organisation: Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and pick up work already in the pipeline (Essential).
- Independence: Comfortable working proactively with minimal supervision to deliver results during a short-term contract.
