Preconstruction Coordinator

V7 Recruitment are working with a commercial office fit-out specialist delivering high-quality design & build projects across the UK. Due to continued success, they are looking for a proactive and detail-driven Preconstruction Coordinator to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with fit-out experience who understands how projects are delivered and wants to play a key role in securing and shaping future work.

The Role:  You would be reporting into the commercial and preconstruction leadership team, you will support the full preconstruction process — from initial enquiry and tender qualification through to submission and handover to the delivery team. You will work closely with commercial leads, designers, and project teams to ensure tenders are competitive, accurate, and strategically positioned to maximise success.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Assisting in qualifying tenders and enquiries to support go/no-go decisions
  
  
• Reviewing tender documentation and assessing project requirements
  
  
• Collaborating with commercial and design teams to establish the project brief
  
  
• Managing tender timelines to ensure deadlines are met
  
  
• Carrying out site surveys where required
  
  
• Producing scopes of works and measured quantities from drawings and design information
  
  
• Liaising with delivery teams to understand programme, phasing, and preliminary requirements
  
  
• Supporting tender strategy and pricing approach
  
  
• Preparing and submitting tender returns
  
  
• Attending client meetings and interviews
  
  
• Supporting value engineering exercises and design alternatives
  
  
• Preparing clear and structured handover documentation for the delivery team
  
  
• Ensuring a smooth transition from preconstruction to delivery
  
   
  
  

Ideal Candidate: 

• Project management experience
  
  
• Commercial office fit-out and design & build experience
  
  
• Strong understanding of project delivery
  
  
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  
  
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  
  
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients, consultants, and suppliers
