Naval Architecture
As a Naval Architect focusing on weight control and hydrostatics, you'll be integral to the latest ship design and engineering. Your role ensures designs meet safety and stability standards while adhering to weight budgets. Utilize advanced ship design software, conduct critical calculations, and collaborate with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a technical specialist during the proposal and engineering phases.
- Perform and update weight calculations for all ship systems.
- Create hydrostatic models for stability calculations.
- Support internal and external design reviews.
- Oversee verification and validation activities during production, including inclining tests.
- Deliver high-quality engineering work within agreed schedules, quality standards, and budgets.
- Contribute to knowledge development and sharing in the field of weight control and hydrostatics.
- Strong understanding of ship design and systems.
- Knowledge of hydrostatics, including stability and strength.
- Experience in project environments, preferably naval shipbuilding.
- Familiarity with PDM systems and hydrostatic software.
- Basic programming skills are a plus.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
- EU citizenship and passport required.
- Strong references and successful security screening.
