As a Cloud Product Developer, you will make an impact by translating advanced cloud technologies into scalable, secure, and commercially viable platform services. You will be a key member of a highly technical, self‑managing engineering team responsible for expanding, stabilizing, and optimizing our client’s VMware‑based IaaS platform. Your work will influence the platform’s roadmap while ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and cost‑effective delivery.
In this role, you will:- Expand, enhance, and operate our VMware‑based IaaS platform.
- Work with technologies such as VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Cloud Director, and ARIA.
- Manage supporting systems such as load balancing, monitoring, and availability tooling.
- Ensure the platform meets high standards of availability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Automate operational tasks (primarily using PowerShell, plus Python/Ansible where applicable).
- Maintain foundational infrastructure services including DNS, NTP, and DHCP.
- Work with DELL PowerEdge hardware and modern data center architectures.
- Participate in periodic standby/on‑call rotation.
- Collaborate in a self‑managing Agile team focused on reliability, security, and continuous improvement.

What you need to have to be considered- Extensive hands‑on experience with VMware technology (Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, ARIA).
- Experience with VCD, VRA, or VCF Automation.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN).
- Strong experience with automation, particularly PowerShell.
- Practical Linux (RedHat) skills and experience with DNS/NTP/DHCP.
- Experience working with DELL PowerEdge hardware.
- Strong security awareness and platform ownership mindset.
- Excellent communication and knowledge‑transfer skills (Dutch & English).
- At least five years of experience in complex IT environments as a Network Engineer or Administrator.
- Knowledge at CCNP level with specialization (Security or Data Center preferred).
- Deep expertise in VMware NSX.
- Experience in scripting/automation with Python or Ansible.
- Experience guiding or coaching technical teams.
- Experience in cloud development and productization of services.
