As a System & Application Support Engineer at SWIFT OPCNL, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our critical systems and applications. You will provide expert technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and boost the stability and performance of our infrastructure—working in rotating daytime shifts. What to Expect: In this role you will:- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SWIFT OPCNL's systems and applications, including incident resolution, problem analysis, and root cause identification
- Monitor system performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users
- Perform routine system maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and configuration changes, adhering to established ITIL best practices
- Collaborate with development teams to understand new application deployments, participate in testing, and ensure seamless integration into the production environment
- Document technical procedures, support guides, and knowledge base articles to facilitate efficient problem-solving and knowledge sharing
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide out-of-hours support for critical incidents
- Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to enhance operational efficiency
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and end-users regarding technical issues and resolutions
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing efforts
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proven experience in system administration or application support role
- Solid understanding of operating systems (e.g., Linux, Windows Server) and networking fundamentals
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and task execution
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle) and the ability to perform basic queries
- Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- ITIL Foundation certification is a plus
