About Role - Senior Python Developer
An Amsterdam-based company is looking for a dynamic, creative, Senior Python Developer to join their development team and build extraordinary software. As Senior Python Developer, you will be working for a unique, diverse, and collaborative organisation serving Research & Education networking. This is a full-time permanent role for a true self-starter, someone who wants to build something from the beginning.
As our Senior Python Developer, you will:
- Architect, design, develop, test, and implement spoke Information Systems in Python and related technologies.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Test, review, enhance, and maintain existing applications.
- Provide level 3 support for developed systems.
- Configure and support automated application provisioning on the project infrastructure.
- Problem-solve critical production issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure development best practices are followed (Clean Code, Clean Architecture, code reviews).
What do we value?
- Strong working proficiency in Python - A minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
- Experience in Python-based web application development technologies, specifically Flask, SQLAlchemy, pip, tox, pytest.
- Some experience with Frontend technologies like Javascript, React, or Typescript.
- Good relational database experience, preferably Postgres and MySQL.
- Able to demonstrate hands-on development experience in a Linux environment.
- ES6 development experience, and experience with one or more standard JavaScript-based frameworks.
- Good understanding of Agile methodology (Scrum) and Test-Driven Development.
- Extensive experience working with Git in a production environment.
- Demonstrable integration experience with bespoke third-party APIs.
- Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural team environment.
- Great English communication skills as well as collaboration skills and strong teamwork mentality. You must be fluent in English.
