Senior Project Engineer - HV

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer High Voltage!

Our client is a leader in the design, implementation, and management of high-voltage systems. With a strong focus on innovation, they skillfully navigate the complexities of the energy sector, including grid enhancement and sustainable energy strategies. Their expertise plays a crucial role in driving a more environmentally conscious and energy-efficient future.

As a Senior Project Engineer High Voltage, you are involved from A to Z in the design and realization of high-voltage substations at project sites. You are technically responsible for the engineering of challenging high-voltage projects. Depending on the size of the project, you may lead a small team and independently carry out the engineering work.

What this means:

• You are responsible for a wide range of secondary and primary engineering tasks (work packages).
• You are an all-rounder familiar with all types of high-voltage installations in the industry, from 110 kV to 380 kV, including the relevant standards and regulations.
• You collaborate with (project) management, clients, various authorities, and suppliers.
• You prepare system documentation, functional and technical specifications. You create proposals, reports, schedules, work descriptions, specifications, and operational overviews.
• You monitor budgets and review and analyze post-calculations.
• You proactively track project progress, resolve bottlenecks, and report your findings.
• You also perform quality checks and are responsible for project documentation.

What You Bring to Succeed:

• A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree (in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field).
• Extensive experience in technically managing projects.
• Proven and recent work experience with grid operators and/or industrial projects.
• Strong command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Key competencies: analytical, structured, safety- and quality-conscious, and a true team player.
