Commissioning Engineer – Driving Excellence in Ocean Infrastructure Projects

NES Fircroft are hiring Commissioning Engineers on behalf of our client, a global leader in deepwater ocean infrastructure and energy solutions.

You will play a critical role in bringing oil and gas facilities to life, ensuring that commissioning activities are executed smoothly, safely, and on schedule. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of projects that not only meet rigorous quality standards but also support the broader vision of sustainable energy and a better blue tomorrow.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for planning and executing commissioning activities for oil and gas facilities or similar energy projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards and delivering on schedule.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in commissioning oil and gas facilities or similar energy projects
• Strong technical knowledge of commissioning procedures and systems testing
• Ability to coordinate and document commissioning activities in compliance with project specifications and safety standards
• Skilled in identifying and resolving commissioning challenges with innovative, practical solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering and operations teams
• Proficient in developing and reviewing commissioning documentation including checklists and schedules

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with deepwater or offshore infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies in commissioning processes
• Knowledge of digital tools for project and documentation management
• Understanding of environmental and compliance standards within the energy sector

Preferred Education and Experience

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification
• Several years of hands-on commissioning experience within oil and gas or offshore energy industries

• Commitment to uphold strict health, safety, and environmental standards
• Relevant safety certifications or training aligned with offshore or commissioning activities
