Purpose and contribution to company strategyThe Digital Team at Top Employers Institute is responsible for the development and support of the digital platforms which includes WordPress, Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud (Portal), Pardot and CRM Analytics. These digital platforms support the core business processes for Marketing, Sales, Operations (Certifications) and Finance, and provide our clients with company information, access to the survey, analytical insights, best practices and marketing activation tools.
The Digital Team is looking for a Full Stack Web Developer in our HQ office in Amsterdam, Netherlands. In this role you are responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our web technology stack. You report to the Senior Web Developer and work closely with the Salesforce Architect and other members of the Digital scrum team, a fun team with skilled people from various nationalities based in our headquarters in Amsterdam.
About the roleFull Stack Web Developer
- Works with business stakeholders from the Product and Marketing teams to gather input for new features and improvements
- Collaborates with the Senior Web Developer, Lead Salesforce Architect and other digital team members on integrations with the other digital and marketing platforms
- Exchanges knowledge and ideas with other team members
Managing the web development process:
- Designs, develops and maintains (new) features on the WordPress platform, keep WP core and plugins tested and up to date
- Documents, tests and deploys WordPress features
- Designs, develops and maintains integrations with other applications like Salesforce, Pardot, Google Analytics, etc.
- Manages expectations of business users regarding the development effort and duration of new feature implementations
Gain and share knowledge:
- Stays informed on and shares knowledge about the ins and outs of the WordPress platform, web architecture and web development best practices
- Pro-actively reaches out to colleagues to understand company goals, delivery processes, business processes, existing implementations, etc.
- Role-specific competencies: tech savvy, manages complexity, plans and aligns optimizes work processes, ensures accountability and decision quality
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is an asset. We also welcome candidates with a strong portfolio and practical experience in web development regardless of formal education.
- Preferably residing in the Netherlands
- Good communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with working in an international organization
- 3+ years experience with hands-on PHP development
- Solid understanding of web platforms and technologies (REST APIs, full stack), their limitations and best practices to develop scalable solutions
- Experience using code versioning (GIT), deployment, and server management processes and tools is a plus
