As a Field Service Engineer, you are the primary technical contact for customers throughout the EMEA region. You are responsible for managing the entire service process, from system installation and testing to operator training and ongoing support. After installation, you’ll ensure maximum system uptime through remote diagnostics, on‑site maintenance, and upgrades. In the first few months, you'll join the operations team to gain in-depth knowledge of the systems.
Your key responsibilities:
- Organize and execute system installations at customer sites, including FAT, SAT and training;
- Be the first point of contact for a dedicated customer portfolio;
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance;
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely and on‑site;
- Install and maintain monitoring and support tools;
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation;
- Travel up to 50% of your time across the EMEA region.
You are technically skilled, service‑oriented, and enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment. You’re a team player who communicates clearly and remains calm under pressure. Additionally, you bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or similar;
- Hands‑on experience installing or servicing complex high‑tech systems;
- Basic knowledge of control systems and electrical engineering;
- Experience providing remote support;
- Familiarity with FAT, SAT, testability, assembly, and serviceability;
- Strong analytical skills and technical documentation capabilities;
- Experience providing training to end‑users;
- Knowledge of Beckhoff PLC is an advantage;
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch, German or French is a plus;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commercial touch.
