The Cloud Enablement Platform team builds the internal systems that help teams manage cloud capacity, quotas, and usage across GCP and OCI. In this role, you will design and develop features within CAMP, Uber’s core platform for cloud resource management, visibility, and workflow automation. Your work will directly improve reliability, efficiency, and decision making for engineering teams across the company.
What the Candidate Will DoBuild and enhance services and user interfaces that support cloud resource and capacity management at Uber.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across distributed systems to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
Implement new features and workflows that enable teams to manage cloud usage, quotas, and capacity more effectively.
Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams and regions to design solutions, improve system architecture, and maintain high code quality.
Contribute to the technical roadmap by participating in design reviews, proposing improvements, and helping drive best engineering practices.
Experience building backend services with Go, Python, or NodeJS
Experience working with containerized environments such as Docker, Kubernetes, or microservices
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP or OCI
Experience designing or working with distributed systems that require reliability and scalability
Experience developing internal tooling or platforms for cloud resource management, quotas, or capacity workflows
Experience integrating with cloud provider APIs (GCP, OCI) and handling large scale data models
Experience improving system reliability through observability, alerting, or on-call operational excellence
Experience modernizing legacy systems, refactoring complex code paths, or improving service architecture
