***Please note, this is a Business Development role, which requires mandatory experience securing IP Licenses in the hardware space.*** Are you ready to shape how breakthrough light-and-health technology reaches the world as a Senior Business Development Manager?

SunLED is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to build our global licensing engine from the ground up and turn patented innovation into industry-defining partnerships.

A commercially strong business developer with demonstrable exposure to IP/licensing (B2B) environments. Focus is building and filling the sales funnel. Further building and shaping partnerships will happen in close collaboration with the existing leadership team.

As a deep-tech startup with a unique mission and a novel, scientifically validated patented near-infrared light technology, we are entering a new phase: moving from product launch into large-scale OEM integration.

This role is not just about business development, it is about ownership: you’ll create the licensing playbook, architect partnership strategies, engage global stakeholders, and close high-value technology licensing agreements in Consumer Electronics, Automotive and Display sectors.

Our breakthrough patented near-infrared technology has applications across major global industries — and we are now scaling a business model fully centered on IP licensing and technology integration.

You will report directly to the CEO and work in a dynamic, international, and transparent culture where teamwork is valued, ownership is expected, and your decisions directly influence our trajectory.

Your Mission

You will be responsible for designing, building, and executing the entire licensing and partnership strategy for SunLED — a rare opportunity to take the lead commercial role in a deep-tech company at a pivotal moment.

What You Will Be Doing as a Senior Business Development Manager Own Licensing Strategy & Execution
  • Maintain and expand SunLED’s global licensing playbook and build repeatable processes for identifying, engaging, and converting OEM partners.
  • Lead outbound licensing initiatives into Consumer Electronics, Display, and Automotive sectors.
Close Complex Technology Integration Deals
  • Manage full-cycle negotiations of licensing and integration agreements with tier-1 global players.
  • Navigate long enterprise sales cycles and influence senior R&D, innovation, product, and executive stakeholders.
Translate Science into Business Value
  • Become an expert in our patented near-infrared technology, articulating its value to technical and commercial decision-makers.
  • Bridge the conversation between science, engineering, and commercial outcomes.
Build a Professional, Scalable Deal Infrastructure
  • Structure our CRM workflows, evaluate partner opportunities, and build a systematic approach to pipeline development.
  • Bring clarity, discipline, and strategy to a CRM currently rich in leads but needing structure and prioritization.
Represent SunLED Globally
  • Travel internationally to meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Be the face of SunLED’s technology at key industry events.
What we are looking for
  • 5-10 years experience securing licensing, technology integration deals (not traditional product sales)
  • Proven experience in one or more target sectors :Consumer Electronics, Display or Automotive
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to communicate value to engineers, CTO’s, scientists and product stakeholders
  • High sense of ownership: able to build commercial strategy, systems and processes from scratch.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – comfortable in fast-moving, founder – led startup environment.
