BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES- Execute the design and development of electronic products (HW & SW) from initial concept to production by utilizing CAD and CAE resources
- Ensure compliance to customer and regulation requirements through robust product design
- Conduct and oversee design validation testing for prototypes and production hardware
- Identify, investigate, and resolve design concerns/issues as early as possible in the development process
- Investigate and integrate new technologies into product design
- Provide electronics related guidance and technical advice to design, engineering, and sales for new product development and production programs
- Create electronic diagrams and circuits using CAD software for product design output
- Execute delivery of technical information to the customer, other company departments, and within the design department
- Identify and negotiate solutions to technical issues
- Ensure compliance to quality management system requirements
- Support planning and execution of automotive lighting projects
- Knowledge in electronics circuit design (hardware design and layout) for automotive lighting
- Knowledge of testing methods and government requirements for automotive designs
- Data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Organizational and planning skills
- Computer skills using standard business software (including MS office programs)
- Computer skills using Math CAD, OrCAD, or PSpice
- Good written and verbal communication, along with good presentation skills
- Able to speak confidently to individuals at all levels of authority
- Willing to travel to customer on-site locations, out of town, and overseas
- Knowledge in DFMEA creation
- B.S. In Electrical Engineering with four to six (4-6) years of experience in a position involving automotive electronics development
- Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with two to four (2-4) years of experience preferred
