BlockTech is a fast-paced algorithmic trading firm facilitating global cryptocurrency trading while expanding into regulated markets. As we continue to grow rapidly, we are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Mid-office team amid our exciting scale-up phase!
What will you do?
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain the systems that keep our trading operation precise, scalable, and compliant. Your work will span data engineering, systems design, and close collaboration with trading and operations teams.
You will:
Build & scale: Design and develop new high-performance Python components that push the boundaries of scalability and efficiency.
Own the numbers: Maintain and improve our position and account bookkeeping system, ensuring accuracy across exchanges and markets.
Enable insights: Deliver reliable business data, integrating it with trading logic to inform real-time decisions.
Monitor & control: Oversee position, equity, and trade monitoring across all exchanges we operate on.
Meet compliance: Handle reporting for both internal business intelligence and regulatory requirements.
Innovate: Drive projects from concept to deployment with full ownership. Your ideas will directly shape our operations.

1+ years of commercial working experience as a Software Engineer using Python and SQL in high-scale/high-up-time systems (terrabytes of data).
Familiarity with Grafana & PostgreSQL
A critical mind that follows things until completion

A high level of responsibility and ownership
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
