We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our European corporate and commercial legal team in Amsterdam, currently consisting of an Associate General Counsel and 4 legal counsels. This position will work with various functions and departments on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters, dispute resolution, and will provide training on various topics. We are looking for someone with outstanding people skills, who is an effective communicator with an understanding of ICL’s business and legal interests.

About the job
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to all ICL’s business stakeholders in Europe.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to advance the corporate and commercial legal strategy.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of commercial legal documents, such as supply, purchase, agency, and distribution agreements.
- Support the business in disputes and litigation and liaise with external advisors when needed.
- Manage corporate governance and corporate entity management.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of legal tech solutions to enhance legal operations and efficiency across the legal team, while maintaining an interest in emerging legal technologies.
- Create legal awareness by training business stakeholders on various topics.
- Stay updated with new legislation and market developments.
About you
You are an experienced professional in the field of law. You have a European academic law degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience in an international business environment, either as in-house legal counsel or within a law firm.
We are looking for the following skills:

- Ability to structure and prioritize in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, driving processes to completion.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management.
- Solid presentation skills, including the ability to lead training and interact effectively with colleagues of all employee levels.
- Strong organizational skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in any other European language is a plus.
Available to work from our European Headquarters in Amsterdam.
Location: ICL EU HQ, Koningin Wilhelminaplein 30, Amsterdam (we have a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office).
