Department: Marine Systems & Piping
- Analyze and assess technical specifications and requirements for integrating marine piping products, systems, and processes (including materials, quality, environment, health & safety, and design optimization).
- Set up and model basic engineering packages in a 3D environment in compliance with maritime standards and regulations.
- Develop detailed engineering packages and production information based on basic engineering.
- Coordinate outsourced engineering activities and verify the technical performance of subcontractors.
- Implement improvements and updates to engineering packages and advise internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote multidisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal project solutions.
- Independently execute complex project elements and perform design reviews.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers, contributing to team knowledge development.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and regulations.
- Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of departmental processes.
- Support knowledge transfer and knowledge retention within the department.
- Apply and comply with all HSSEQ / IMED policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree (EQF6) with at least 5‑7 years relevant experience, or Master’s degree (EQF7) with at least 3‑5 years relevant experience in a technical field.
- Thorough knowledge of marine piping engineering, preferably within ships or offshore installations.
- Extensive experience with 2D and 3D CAD systems and working on high-end (naval) vessels.
- Experience with complex projects and interaction with statutory bodies.
- Excellent command of English (written & verbal). Dutch is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally, sometimes frequently and for extended periods.
- Competitive salary based on experience (€5,000 - €6,000 gross per month)
- 40 days of holiday (27 paid days plus 13 ADV days)
