As an Integration Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and robust integration solutions that connect systems, applications, and platforms across complex IT landscapes. While your primary focus will be on integration, you will also bring a broader solution architecture perspective to support strategic alignment.
Responsibilities- Design and implement integration solutions that seamlessly connect systems and applications using APIs, messaging, events, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Leverage integration technologies such as API Gateways, Event-Driven Architecture, REST, SOAP, GraphQL, Kafka, Azure Integration Services, or MuleSoft to support business objectives.
- Deliver end-to-end IT and integration solutions that align with client needs and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Ensure architectural consistency and quality by participating in governance processes and contributing to standards and guidelines.
- Work closely with development teams, analysts, business stakeholders, and other architects to translate requirements into effective integration solutions.
- Support pre-sales efforts by assessing integration needs, proposing technical solutions, and presenting architecture visions to clients.
- Integrate integration architecture into Agile workflows, with CI/CD practices and DevOps principles.
- Advise clients on integration strategies, API-first development, cloud-native patterns, and modern iPaaS solutions.
- Contribute to the internal architecture community by sharing integration knowledge, tools, and patterns.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on integration matters.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Integration Architect or a Solution Architect with a strong focus on system integration.
- Deep understanding of integration platforms, API management, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), messaging protocols (e.g., JMS, AMQP), and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud-based integration (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, AWS EventBridge, GCP Pub/Sub).
- Familiarity with integration standards and formats: REST, OpenAPI/Swagger, OAuth2, OIDC, XML, JSON, XSLT, BPMN.
- Proficiency with architecture modeling tools such as ArchiMate, Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.
- Hands-on software development experience in Java or .NET, and familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or SAFe.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to take ownership of solutions and lead discussions.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written) – mandatory.
