Tasks

What You’ll Work On

• Product & Competitor Research

• Investigate existing compliance software solutions.

• Translate findings into a clear technical/product roadmap.

• Full-Stack Development & MVP Setup

• Build an initial proof-of-concept / MVP from scratch.

• Work with PHP.

• Use .NET and/or Python for other back-end components.

• Set up databases, APIs, and front-end interfaces that balance usability and security.

• Product Definition & Market Support

• Provide technical input that helps us position and market the product effectively.

• Contribute to documentation and developer-friendly architecture.

• Project Management & Collaboration

• Help plan sprints, milestones, and technical priorities.

• Engage with stakeholders, early adopters, or testers to refine requirements.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves

• Strong skills in PHP and experience in .NET or Python.
• Solid understanding of software design principles and clean architecture.
• Ability to work self-sufficiently (research, plan, and implement).
• Analytical mindset: able to break down competitors’ features and translate them into actionable product ideas.
• Business mindset: comfortable thinking beyond code to include project management, stakeholder communication, and product/market fit considerations.
• Comfortable with Git workflows and collaborating asynchronously.
• Eager to learn, research new tech, and use time effectively.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, etc.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with open-source projects or small startup teams.
• Knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, or modern front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with compliance/privacy tooling or regulated environments (government, healthcare, etc.).
• Familiarity with Nextcloud.
