The Project Specialist, Payroll Operations will be responsible for managing payroll projects and initiatives and providing leadership and hands on support to payroll processing functions. The Project Manager/ Specialist, Payroll Operations will ensure the timely and accurate execution of the identified payroll projects, process improvements and initiatives and implement necessary controls to ensure all deadlines are met and company policies and procedures are followed. Moreover, the Project Manager, Payroll Operations will manage escalated payroll issues and special projects assigned to the team and partner with payroll stakeholders and various internal departments.

  • Manages Regional/Country payroll projects/initiatives
  • Effectively tracks and communicates project status to upper management
  • Leads the conversation and negotiates with different internal and external payroll partners and stakeholders
  • Conducts Risk Assessments on projects/initiatives assigned, applying a creative thinking to solve problems
  • Manages Payroll specific initiatives throughout the year, contributing to the success of the Payroll operations
  • Maintains and reviews of any already existing processes, to assess what can be done better and execute the changes effectively
  • On a day-to-day basis, collaborates with Payroll Operations Managers, Payroll Analyst and Payroll Coordinators
  • Controls Payroll Monthly Dashboards
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience
  • Clear understanding of Project Management Methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills to understand evolving key business requirements
  • Creative mindset applied to solve problems
  • Natural awareness of change management challenge and comfort in addressing those issues with concrete tactical actions
  • Fluency in English both written and verbal is required; the knowledge of other European languages is a strong asset
  • Advanced level of Excel (Macro and VBA knowledge) is required
  • Experience in Payroll function is a strong asset
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Energetic, initiative and service oriented
  • Excellent internal communication skills for partnering with other departments in the organization such as HR and other Finance departments

Foot Locker Europe can also involve you in projects and tasks not listed above, depending on evolving business needs and on your ability to perform on those tasks. Candidates must be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
