Job Brief

Prime Air & Ocean Cargo is seeking an Inside Sales to build new business by identifying and selling profitable domestic and international freight forwarding prospects; maintaining strong and beneficial relationships with those clients to consistently grow existing revenues and profit.  This is a multi-faceted role where negotiation, analysis, influencing and problem-solving skills will play a significant part. The position reports directly to the Station Manager.

 

Responsibilities

  • Systematic study of potential clients’ market and definition of target clients’ groups.
  • Study the services provided by PA&OC and similar services on the market.
  • Keep and enlarge current clients’ database.
  • Build successful relationship with existing clients, increasing clients’ loyalty and awareness of PA&OC services.
  • Negotiate with clients, conduct presentations to clients and prepare of commercial proposals.
  • Track competitors’ actions towards clients.
  • Develop clients, new directions and projects.
  • Gain and analyze information on clients` satisfaction with the service level.
  • Build, update and organize the contract rates for the different clients and services.
  • Regularly contact potential and current clients in order to increase volume or market share.
  • Know the operational costs.
  • Generate quotations for the clients.
  • Analyze clients’ activities in order to react or respond in time.
  • Analyze sales and profits to generate strategic actions.
  • Develop agents in different countries.
  • Report according to the corporate rules.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience minimum in freight forwarding sales
  • Existing book of business preferred but not mandatory
  • Strategic vision and goal-oriented
  • Strong character who can manage a variety of accounts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, confident and determined approach who shows confidence
  • Excellent time management skills, structured and organized
  • Possess a well-developed strategic sales ability
  • Leadership and team work skills
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Strong PC Skills (Advanced excel required)
