The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will be responsible for maintaining the quality standards that underpin safe and efficient battery processing operations. Leading a team within a fast-paced environment, you will ensure materials are correctly assessed, segregated and managed while driving continuous improvement across the sorting process.
The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will:
Lead quality activities across battery sorting, inspection and material segregation operations.
Ensure only approved battery chemistries progress through the process, maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Manage load verification, material tracking, record-keeping and reporting activities.
Train, supervise and develop operational teams, including agency workers.
Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support supplier quality activities, audits and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, environmental requirements and safety regulations.
The Battery Sorting Quality Manager will have:
Experience in a Quality, Production, Inspection or Supervisory role within manufacturing, recycling, waste handling or materials processing.
Experience leading teams and maintaining quality standards within a production environment.
Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control and process compliance.
Experience working with hazardous materials, battery products or material segregation processes.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify anomalies, defects and non-conforming materials.
Excellent record-keeping, communication and organisational skills.
A hands-on approach with the confidence to stop operations when quality or safety standards are at risk.
