TeacherActive is proud to be working with a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Northfield, which caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The setting focuses on creating a structured and nurturing environment where students feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
The setting is looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant on a temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be working with pupils across primary and secondary ages, supporting those with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 and small group basis.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
• Experience supporting both primary and secondary aged pupils
• Strong behaviour management skills
• A patient, resilient and calm approach
• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across the setting
