Duties as a Learning Support Assistant:
Support pupils in the classroom and during learning activities
Build positive relationships with children who may experience anxiety or low confidence
Help pupils engage with learning and classroom routines
Provide emotional reassurance and encouragement where needed
Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and interventions
Promote independence, self-esteem, and positive behaviour
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environmentIdeal Learning Support Assistant:
Previous experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting pupils with emotional or additional learning needs is desirable
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Confidence supporting children who may be anxious or require additional reassurance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
