The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

A confidential opportunity is available for an Assistant Site Engineer / Assistant Engineering Surveyor to join an established construction team working across a range of major projects.
The role will involve supporting experienced Engineering Surveyors with precision surveying, setting-out and site engineering activities, working closely with site teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of construction information.
The Role Responsibilities will include:
Undertaking topographical, measured building and 3D laser scanning surveys.
Establishing and verifying gridlines, benchmarks and datums.
Producing high-accuracy as-built survey records.
Carrying out site setting-out using Leica TS16 or equivalent total stations.
Establishing and transferring survey control.
Supporting Engineering Surveyors with day-to-day site engineering and surveying activities.
Working closely with project and site teams to resolve surveying and setting-out requirements.
Ensuring survey information is accurate, clearly recorded and delivered within project timescales. About You The successful candidate will ideally have:
A minimum of 2 years' professional experience in construction surveying, site engineering or a closely related discipline.
HNC, BTEC or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, surveying, construction or a related field.
Experience using survey instrumentation and associated software.
Strong technical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
A practical, proactive approach to site-based problem solving.
Full UK driving licence – essential, due to travel between multiple sites. Package
Salary c. £35,000 + package
£3,150 car allowance
5% pension contribution, increasing to 10% after 2 years
