We are recruiting for x 2 Sales Administrator on behalf of our client, a long established UK manufacturer based in Bolton and part of a wider global group of companies. The business develops and manufactures high quality engineered products supplied into a range of industrial sectors and is well regarded for its technical expertise, dependable service, and strong customer relationships.
This is a fully office based position within a busy manufacturing environment where you will support both Engineering and Sales teams on a daily basis. The role is focused on ensuring customer orders are processed correctly, internal communication between departments is clear, and all stages of the order cycle are managed efficiently. You will play a key part in maintaining smooth workflow, supporting customer requirements, and ensuring accurate information is shared across the business.
Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per annum, Hours: Full Time, permanent (38 hours per week). Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 07:30–16:00, Friday 07:30–12:50.
In this Sales Administrator role, you will:
* Respond to customer enquiries via telephone and email in a professional and timely manner.
* Process customer orders through internal ERP systems with a high level of accuracy.
* Produce quotations accurately, ensuring they are issued correctly and followed up with customers.
* Liaise with production planning teams to confirm achievable lead times and delivery schedules.
* Handle queries relating to orders, deliveries, and invoice discrepancies in a prompt and efficient manner.
* Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and order records within internal systems.
* Coordinate with warehouse, production, and logistics teams to support smooth order progression.
* Support resolution of customer complaints by working with relevant internal departments.
* Provide general administrative support across Sales and Engineering functions.
* Ensure all documentation and system updates are completed accurately and kept current.
* Produce basic reports relating to sales activity and order status when required.
* Maintain strong customer relationships through clear and consistent communication.
To be successful in this Sales Administrator role, you will need:
* Previous experience in a sales support, sales order processing, manufacturing administration, or customer service role ideally within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of numeracy.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* Experience using ERP or CRM systems is desirable, training will be given.
