How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job description

Business Change Manager - Band C - Change - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ

Salary: Between £45,986 to £54,863 dependent on existing salary and experience, plus location allowances totalling £3,009. Most individuals should expect to start on the band minimum.

Location: West Brompton

For Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP), delivering projects is not just about bringing improvements. It’s about keeping millions of people safe across the UK. Our Business Change Team supports a portfolio of projects and programmes that will help better protect our country. The Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Business Change Team has an exciting opportunity to help deliver our portfolio of change across the CTP network.

Joining our rapidly growing Business Change team, we’re looking for a Business Change Manager to help our business understand, prepare, adopt and embed highly complex and diverse change. It’s your chance to play a part in a challenge that’s as important as it gets: protecting the UK and its communities.

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic team member with some experience in managing change. You will join the team and be responsible for the day-to-day management and application of the Business Change framework, tools and methodology to implement sustainable change across the national Counter Terrorism Policing Network.

You will have a varied role, where no two days are the same. You will join the team with a broad understanding of change management, and with support from the team will become a specialist in your field. You will work as part of a busy team, supporting the Business Change Leads in delivering our change portfolio and working closely with our change network and stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will have:

An understanding of the principles of change management or transferrable skills.

The ability to use information to assess how change is landing and assess risks and blockers, supporting effective decision-making.

The ability to provide effective challenge to interested parties

Good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to meet demanding deadlines in a pressured environment.

Good interpersonal and facilitation skills

Good communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels including stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Self-starter, confident and capable of working both independently and collaboratively to tight deadlines with plenty of initiative.

Strong IT skills in the use of Microsoft products, especially MS Word and PowerPoint.

You might have some experience:

Applying established change management methodologies (for example, Prosci, APMG Change Management/Agent etc.)

Working for a (local) government, security agency or within a policing environment

Please note, the job description is used as a framework to review and manage performance when an individual is in post, and therefore not all skills and experience are required from the outset. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate some of these skills, and is willing to learn and achieve these objectives.
