Reed are partnering with a well-established professional services organisation in Didcot to recruit a Receptionist. This is an excellent opportunity for a personable and organised individual who enjoys working in a client-facing environment and thrives in a varied role combining reception, administration, and facilities support responsibilities.
Working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
Key Responsibilities
Reception
Answer and direct incoming telephone calls professionally and efficiently.
Welcome clients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage visitor sign-in procedures.
Maintain reception, meeting rooms, and client waiting areas to a high standard.
Handle incoming and outgoing post, DX, and deliveries.
Collect and deliver DX from the local depot.
Receive office supplies and deliveries.Administration
Carry out client identification checks.
Accept payments and issue receipts.
Log and retrieve deeds and important documents.
Support with photocopying, scanning, filing, and general administration.
Assist with archiving files and document management.
Provide administrative support to colleagues across the business.Facilities
Coordinate repairs and maintenance requests.
Monitor and order stationery supplies.
Ensure kitchen supplies are regularly replenished.
Maintain first aid kits and health and safety records.
Support the overall presentation and smooth running of the office.About You
Previous experience in a reception, administration, or customer service role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional and confident approach when dealing with clients and visitors.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
Reliable, adaptable, and willing to support colleagues when required.
Able to handle confidential information with discretion.
