The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation based in North Oxfordshire who are seeking an experienced Head of Accounting to lead its accounting function and play a key role within the finance leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to take ownership of statutory reporting, financial controls, audit management and compliance, while leading a small accounting team. You'll be responsible for ensuring accurate monthly and year-end reporting, maintaining compliance with UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS102, overseeing tax and VAT reporting, and driving continuous improvements to financial systems, processes and controls.
Key requirements:
. ACA or ACCA qualified.
. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS102.
. Proven experience using SAP.
. Previous leadership experience within an accounting or finance function.
. Experience managing statutory accounts, external audits, tax reporting and financial controls.
. Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business and influence stakeholders.
. Proactive, organised and committed to delivering high-quality financial reporting and continuous process improvement.
. Must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
