The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and has previous experience working within an SEN setting.
Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience working with children with special educational needs such as autism
Strong understanding of supporting children with additional needs
Patient calm and resilient approach
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamA trial day will be required to determine suitability for the role.
Daily Responsibilities
Supporting students with autism in the classroom environment
Assisting the teacher with planning and delivering tailored activities
Helping students to stay focused and engaged with learning tasks
Managing behaviour in a positive and supportive manner
Providing one to one support when required
Encouraging communication and social interaction skills
Assisting with personal care where needed
