Clarence Recruitment is currently recruiting reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to work across a number of primary and secondary schools within Leicester City.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking term-time-only work, offering consistent afternoon hours that fit around family commitments or other responsibilities. We are looking for dedicated cleaning staff who take pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring school environments remain clean, safe, and welcoming for pupils and staff.
The Role
As a School Cleaner, you will:
* Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff areas, and communal spaces.
* Maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the school premises.
* Vacuum, sweep, mop and sanitise designated areas.
* Clean washrooms and replenish consumables including soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and efficiently.
* Follow all school health and safety procedures.
* Report any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns to the Site Manager or Supervisor.
* Work as part of a professional team to ensure the school is ready for the following day.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous cleaning experience in a school, commercial, or similar environment.
* A strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
* Good knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH practices.
* An Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Professional references covering the last three years.
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
