Maths Teaching Assistant - Secondary School | Tower Hamlets | September Start

A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking a dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced Teaching Assistants looking to support students in achieving their full potential.

The Role:

Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 during Maths lessons.
Deliver small group interventions and one-to-one support to help raise attainment.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
Encourage student confidence, participation, and independent learning.
Support students of varying abilities, including those requiring additional learning support.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.

The Ideal Candidate:

A strong academic background in Mathematics (degree preferred but not essential).
Previous experience working with young people in a school, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching environment is desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patient, enthusiastic, and committed to helping students succeed.
An interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching would be advantageous.
