The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced PSV Technician to join a well-established and growing transport operation. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern workshop maintaining a fleet of buses and coaches to the highest safety and reliability standards.
You'll be responsible for carrying out inspections, servicing, diagnostics and repairs, ensuring vehicles remain roadworthy and compliant with DVSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on PSV vehicles.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
Complete MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet all legal compliance standards.
Perform safety inspections and defect rectification.
Accurately complete job cards and maintenance records.
Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
Follow all health & safety procedures and workshop standards.
Requirements
Previous experience working as a PSV Technician, Bus Technician, HGV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) is desirable.
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
A valid PSV licence is highly desirable, although training may be available for the right candidate.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
