TeacherActive is proud to be working with a fantastic special school based in Nottingham. The school supports children and young people aged 4–19 with SEND, all of whom have an EHCP and a diagnosis of autism, and offers a structured and inclusive environment with both Early Years and Sixth Form provision.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a part time or full time basis. The successful Teaching Assistant will be supporting students across a range of age groups, helping to meet individual needs, manage behaviour, and promote engagement in learning within a specialist SEND setting.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly autism
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
A patient and nurturing approach to support individual learning needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to support across different age groups
