The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
We are recruiting for a Permanent Solderer to join a long-established electronics manufacturer based in Blandford Forum, Dorset.

The Role
Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for producing high-quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications.
Your duties will include:
Soldering printed circuit boards (PCBs) and/or cable assemblies.
Working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and work instructions.
Carrying out through-hole soldering and cable termination.
Inspecting your own work to ensure high quality standards are maintained.
Assembling electronic components and sub-assemblies.
Identifying and reporting any quality issues.
Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous PCB or cable soldering experience at any level.
Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
The ability to follow engineering drawings or assembly instructions.
A commitment to producing high-quality work.
A reliable and positive attitude.
The ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a production team.
IPC certification would be advantageous but is not essential.
