Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: ASAP / September 2026
Protocol Education are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Newham.
The successful candidate will support pupils across different year groups, either working 1:1 with individual pupils or within a small group setting, depending on the needs of the school.
The Role:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with additional needs
Supporting pupils with their learning, development and engagement
Helping pupils access the curriculum and build confidence
Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
Supporting positive behaviour and creating a safe, inclusive learning environment
Adapting support to meet the individual needs of pupils
The Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
A caring, patient and supportive approach
Confident working with different year groups
Able to build positive relationships with pupils
Passionate about supporting children to reach their potential
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, LSA or similar is desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
