Payroll Clerk (Part-Time)
Location: Norwich (close to city centre)
Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Salary: £13.84 – £16.41 per hour (dependent on experience)
Type: Ongoing temporary - opportunity for Temp to perm
Duties:
Take full responsibility for running payroll from start to finish each pay cycle
Keep employee payroll records up to date, including starters, leavers, and any changes
Process all aspects of pay, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, sick pay, holiday pay, and statutory payments
Ensure payroll is accurate, on time, and in line with company policies
Stay compliant with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
Manage year-end payroll tasks, including preparing and submitting P60s, P11Ds and P11D(b)
Handle pension administration, including auto-enrolment, contributions, and liaising with providers
Produce payroll reports and reconciliation's for HR, Finance, and management
Support month-end activities such as payroll journals and headcount reporting
Requirements:
Proven, up-to-date experience in end-to-end payroll processing
Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Experience preparing and submitting P60s and P11Ds
Familiarity with Sage 50 Payroll is highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
Ability to work independently and take full ownership of payroll processes
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
