Role – Mechanical Design Engineer
Location – Norfolk
Working hours – Monday to Friday – 8.30am – 5pm
Capacity of role – Permanent position
Salary – Up to £40,000 per annum

Our client is a well-respected manufacturer who is currently looking to add to their drawing office with a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Main duties will include –
Generation of detailed manufacturing drawings for internal and external production
Creation of bill of materials for special product and procurement as required
Creation to overall design and assembly drawings to define customer specifications
Customer liaison to ensure the smooth production process
Liaising with all departments to ensure delivery times are met and upheld
Continuous improvement of existing product range.

Candidate attributes –
A sound background in mechanical engineering, with good knowledge of mechanisms, fabricated assemblies and sheet metalwork
The ability to quickly and effectively design customised variants from a standard product range
The ability to prioritise workload and deal efficiently with multiple projects.
Excellent working knowledge of Solidworks 3D CAD or similar,
Able to produce effective, detailed manufacturing information on time
Working knowledge of Machinery Standards and relevant legislation
Able to work as part of a small team
Excellent communication skills
