We're looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Account Manager to join our team, managing customer enquiries from initial contact through to conclusion while identifying opportunities to grow profitable business.
This is a hands-on sales role combining responsive customer service, quotation management, business development and sales administration. If you're commercially focused, confident building relationships and thrive in a fast-paced sales environment, this could be the role for you.
About the Role
As Sales Account Manager, you'll manage incoming customer enquiries across telephone, email and other communication channels, ensuring every enquiry is handled promptly, professionally and with a strong focus on maximising opportunities for conversion.
You'll take ownership of enquiries through to their conclusion, preparing accurate quotations, carrying out appropriate follow-ups and ensuring customer requirements are fully addressed. Alongside managing incoming opportunities, you'll actively seek new business, with a primary focus on container sales, hire and conversions.
Customer experience is central to the role. You'll build professional relationships, maintain high standards of communication and ensure your approach reflects the quality, professionalism and ethical trading standards we expect across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing incoming customer enquiries promptly and professionally across telephone, email and other communication channels.
* Taking ownership of enquiries through to conclusion, ensuring customer requirements are fully addressed.
* Driving profitable sales while maintaining high standards of quality, professionalism and ethical trading.
* Preparing and issuing accurate quotations and carrying out appropriate follow-ups to support conversion.
* Actively identifying and developing new business opportunities, primarily across container sales, hire and conversions.
* Completing the administration associated with customer enquiries and order processing accurately and efficiently.
* Following internal business processes and operational procedures to maintain consistency and accountability.
* Building your knowledge of our operations, products and services to better support customers and identify opportunities.
* Maintaining clear and professional communication with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
* Supporting colleagues and other appropriate duties during periods of absence or high demand.
About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially focused, self-motivated and comfortable taking responsibility for customer enquiries from first contact through to completion. You'll be able to work effectively in a busy sales environment while maintaining high standards of customer service and attention to detail.
