APT Education is recruiting a committed, confident and adaptable Key Stage 2 Teacher in Northampton (NN2) for a full‑time maternity cover starting October half term. This large, welcoming Primary school in Northampton is looking for a KS2 specialist who can deliver high‑quality teaching, build strong relationships, and support pupils with a range of additional needs.
The class has 28 pupils, including children with ADHD, cognitive needs, and occasional behavioural challenges. You will be supported by two Teaching Assistants in class, alongside a supportive SLT who value consistency, communication and teamwork.
⭐ About the Role – Key Stage 2 Teacher (Northampton NN2)
As a KS2 Teacher in Northampton, you will:

Teach a well‑established Key Stage 2 class of 28 pupils

Deliver planning already in place, with some tweaking and adaptation required

Support pupils with ADHD, cognitive needs, and behavioural challenges
*
Work closely with two Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support

Create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment

Work collaboratively with a supportive SLT who champion staff wellbeing
*
Provide consistency, clear routines and strong behaviour management
