Academics in Leeds are currently recruiting a year 6 teacher for one of our mainstream primary schools in North Leeds. This is to start in September for at least 2 terms with a possible contract for the right person in April 2027. This is a large 2 form entry school with children from various backgrounds and any experience of teaching EAL and SEND pupils would be beneficial.

This full time year 6 teacher role is for someone who wants to narrow the attainment gap and see these year 6 pupils progress.

You must have excellent knowledge of the KS2 Curriculum and should be able to demonstrate a proven success teaching this year group. The ability to plan and deliver fun and engaging lessons is a must. The school require their new year 6 teacher to become fully immersed in school life and become an integral part of the team.

You must have a the following in order to apply for this year 6 teacher role:

A teaching qualification (QTS)
Experience in year 6 and SATS
Positive ethos
