The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are currently delivering upgrades to waste water treatment plants around the south Oxford area and are looking for a proven supervisor to join our team.
The Role
As the Site Supervisor you'll be responsible for the day-to-day on-site activities including supervising teams, coordinating resources, and acting as a key interface between site personnel, subcontractors, and management.
What You’ll Be Doing
1) Technical Responsibilities - Site Supervision
Supervise on-site teams, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure efficient workflow.
Allocate daily tasks and monitor team performance.
Ensure staff adhere to company standards, procedures, and site rules.
Monitor use of materials, plant, and equipment.
Report shortages, delays, or equipment issues to the Foreman or Project Manager.
Support subcontractor coordination and verification of work completed.
Assist in the planning and scheduling of site activities in coordination with Project Managers and Foremen.
Monitor progress, report delays or issues, and propose corrective actions.
Ensure all work is carried out to project specifications, drawings, and regulatory standards.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies on site.
Conduct daily toolbox talks, risk assessments, and site inspections.
Report incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly and accurately.
Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including work progress, inspections, and material usage.
Support QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with company and client standards.
Assist with site handovers and defect management.
3) Stakeholder Communication
Act as the first point of contact for on-site queries from operatives and subcontractors.
Provide regular updates to the Site Manager.
Liaise with clients, inspectors, or other site visitors when required.

What We’re Looking For
Essential
SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification.
Valid UK CSCS card (or equivalent) for site access and verification of competence.
Basic Health & Safety awareness relevant to construction sites.
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role on construction or engineering projects.
Hands-on experience supervising site teams, subcontractors, and operatives on larger civil engineering projects.
Desirable
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
First Aid at Work certification.
Temporary Works.
Experience ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
