The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative (ideally with a B1 FLT licence) to join an engineering company based in Burton upon Trent. This role involves supporting the stores and logistics function by managing incoming goods, stock control and dispatch operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving goods, checking for missing or damaged items, moving stock within the warehouse and ensuring accurate stock records are maintained using the Oracle system.
Key Responsibilities
* Receiving and booking in goods, checking for damage or missing items
* Moving and locating stock safely by hand or using a forklift truck
* Maintaining accurate stock records for quantity and location
* Processing stock movements and transactions within the Oracle system
* Carrying out visual checks, counts and weigh counts to ensure documentation accuracy
* Picking and kitting stock for orders
* Preparing and dispatching goods to customers in line with company procedures
* Ensuring all items are correctly labelled and shipped on time
* Monitoring inventory accuracy and reporting discrepancies
* Carrying out inventory audits in line with company policy
* Loading and unloading vehicles using appropriate lifting equipment
* Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the stores area
* Managing customer assets through correct documentation and system updates
Previous experience in a stores or goods-in environment is required. A B1 FLT licence would be beneficial
