Are you a skilled Multi Trade Operative looking for a role where your work truly matters? A leading company in the Facilities Management industry is hiring a Multi Skilled Operative in Fairford Oxfordshire to support key Defence facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to carry out a varied range of maintenance and repair work that directly contributes to the safe and efficient operation of the Defence estate.

The Role As the Multi Skilled Operative, you'll:

Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishment projects across a portfolio of Defence sites.
Undertake a variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical repairs, plastering, mechanical maintenance and general building repairs.
Work across both domestic and commercial buildings, adapting to a varied and changing workload.
Manage your workload digitally using a tablet or mobile device, ensuring accurate completion of maintenance records.
Travel between sites using a company van and fuel card provided.
Collaborate with a close-knit engineering team while also working independently when required.
Support general storekeeping and yard duties as part of the wider site operation.
Participate in an on-call rota to support emergency maintenance requirements. You To be successful in the role of Multi Skilled Operative, you'll bring:

Practical experience within maintenance, Facilities Management, construction, housing or a similar environment.
Experience carrying out a broad range of building maintenance and repair tasks.
A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
Strong problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail.
The ability to manage your own workload and adapt to changing priorities.
Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential; strong hands-on experience will also be considered.
A full UK Driving Licence and eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC). What's in it for you? £32,000-£35,000 salary
12-month fixed-term contract with the opportunity to become permanent
Company van and fuel card for business travel
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
On-call rota (approximately 1 in 11 weeks, including evenings and weekends)
