The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Job Description
Leading the pre-construction commercial function across multiple infrastructure and social housing projects, ensuring commercial governance, consistency and financial control throughout the Dartford-based division.
Managing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), budgets, cost plans and financial forecasts while providing accurate commercial reporting to senior leadership.
Developing and mentoring a team of Assistant Quantity Surveyors, setting objectives, managing workloads and supporting professional development across the commercial team.
Supporting bid submissions, procurement strategy, value engineering and early supply chain engagement to deliver commercially robust and competitive tenders.
Identifying commercial risks and opportunities, protecting project margins and working closely with operational, design and client teams to deliver successful pre-construction outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Lead Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor within construction, infrastructure or social housing.
Strong knowledge of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost planning, forecasting, budgeting and commercial reporting within pre-construction environments.
Experience managing commercial teams, mentoring Assistant Quantity Surveyors and driving high commercial standards across multiple projects.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline, with strong understanding of procurement, commercial strategy and risk management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence clients, senior leadership and project teams across Dartford and the South East.
