The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:
Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.
Red Sky Personnel are currently supporting a rapidly growing infrastructure business delivering critical projects across the utilities and energy sectors.
We are looking for a SHEQ Advisor to support the delivery of a nationally significant energy infrastructure project. This is a key opportunity to be involved in a major low-carbon development at the forefront of the UK’s energy transition.
The Role
You will provide day-to-day SHEQ support across site operations, working closely with delivery teams and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out safely, compliantly and in line with both company and client standards.
This opportunity is open to both experienced SHEQ Advisors and Senior Advisors, depending on level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out site inspections, audits and risk assessments, ensuring effective control measures are implemented
Providing practical SHEQ advice and guidance to site teams, supervisors and subcontractors
Supporting the development, review and implementation of RAMS
Assisting with incident investigations, near misses and root cause analysis
Ensuring works are delivered in line with company procedures, client requirements and relevant legislation
Promoting positive safety behaviours and driving a strong SHEQ culture on site
Supporting environmental and quality requirements relevant to energy and carbon capture works
Delivering toolbox talks, briefings and site inductions
Skills & Experience
Experience within construction, civil engineering, utilities or energy infrastructure environments
Strong background in SHEQ audits, inspections and site-based safety processes
Working knowledge of incident investigation and corrective action processes
Good understanding of CDM Regulations, particularly the Principal Contractor role
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence site teams
Experience working with subcontractors in a live site environment
Senior Level (where applicable)
Demonstrable experience operating at Senior SHEQ Advisor level on infrastructure projects
Ability to lead SHEQ initiatives and influence at a senior site level
Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
Qualifications
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Relevant SHEQ experience within infrastructure or construction
Full UK driving licence
