Contract IT Service Desk Engineer
Duration: 3 months
IR35 Status: Small Company Exemption
Location: Fully remote working, Basingstoke office if hybrid working is preferred
Our client is seeking Contract IT Support Engineer to support a Microsoft-focused MSP delivering primarily BAU support and assist with cloud project work. You'll provide day-to-day IT support while contributing to Microsoft 365 migrations and modern workplace deployments. Working in a small team, you'll take ownership of tickets, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
1st/2nd line support via phone and email
Manage tickets in line with SLAs
Support Microsoft 365 environments
Maintain backups, monitoring, and endpoint security
Assist with onboarding and basic infrastructure upgradesKey Skills
3+ years IT support experience (MSP preferred)
Strong Microsoft 365 admin experience
Windows server admin
Windows 10/11
Knowledge of SharePoint/Intune
Basic networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls)Desirable: Any experience in the following Azure, Hyper-V, macOS.
