This Senior Product Manager / NPD Manager role sits within a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing environment, developing own-label products for major UK retailers. You’ll drive product development and innovation, taking ownership of NPD projects from concept through to launch, with a focus on food trends, nutrition, and commercial delivery.

Working cross-functionally across technical, commercial, sourcing, and supply chain teams, you’ll lead end-to-end product development, including formulation, project management, and retailer engagement. The role offers strong visibility, autonomy, and the ability to influence NPD strategy and category growth.

The Role – Senior Product Manager / NPD Manager (Food):
• End-to-end NPD and product development within FMCG / food manufacturing
• Ownership of multiple NPD projects from concept to launch
• Food formulation, recipe development, and product optimisation
• Project management, critical path management, and launch delivery
• Retailer-facing role – customer presentations, tastings, and product reviews
• Use market data, food trends, and consumer insights to drive innovation
• Cross-functional collaboration with technical, commercial, and supply chain teams
• Supplier management and international sourcing exposure

Experience Required:
• 5+ years’ experience in NPD, Product Development, or Food Innovation
• Background in FMCG, food manufacturing, or retail own-label supply
• Strong food formulation, ingredients, and sensory evaluation knowledge
• Proven project management and critical path delivery experience
• Experience working with UK retailers / retail customers
• Commercial awareness – costings, margins, and pricing
