We’re recruiting dedicated and compassionate Health Care Assistants to support adults across Cardiff in domiciliary care, residential services, and supported living. This is a vital front-line role where you’ll help individuals maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life within their own homes and communities.
You’ll be supporting adults with a range of needs including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, learning disabilities, mental health needs, dementia, and those requiring ongoing rehabilitation.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing personalised personal care including washing, dressing, continence care and mobility support
- Assisting with moving and handling and the safe use of aids and equipment
- Supporting with meal preparation, nutrition monitoring, and healthy eating
- Completing domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and bed making
- Encouraging independence through daily living skills and community access
- Supporting individuals with personal finances (as outlined in care plans)
- Maintaining accurate, timely records and following all policies and care plans
- Acting professionally, courteously, and respectfully at all times
- Following training, safeguarding responsibilities, and health & safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
- QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (Essential)
- Driver (Essential)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed care plans
- Understanding of safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and high personal standards
- Calm, reliable, and committed to delivering person-centred care
- Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing CPD
